COSTING ENGINEER

Role Summary The Costing Engineer – Jigs & Fixtures is responsible for the end-to-end financial estimation of specialized tooling required for electronic assembly lines. This role involves analyzing technical drawings, calculating manufacturing costs for custom parts, and budgeting for complex automation components. The goal is to provide accurate "Should-Cost" models that ensure high-quality assembly solutions are delivered within budget. Core Responsibilities Component & Material Estimation Fabricated Parts: Calculate costs for metallic (Al, SS) and non-metallic (ESD plastics, Delrin) parts by evaluating material weight, machining cycles (CNC/VMC), and finishing processes. Bought-Out Items: Source and maintain price benchmarks for: Mechanical: Bearings, linear rails, and precision slide ways. Pneumatics: Cylinders, DCV valves, and manifold systems.
