Financial Reporting Accountant

<h3>About the position</h3> <p>We are looking for a qualified Accountant to join our Financial Reporting team. You will primarily maintain the books and records for the firm’s European businesses and prepare our monthly and annual financial statements in conjunction with accounting teams in the region and globally.</p> <p>Additional responsibilities of the role will include:</p> <ul> <li>Preparing or reviewing various accounting reconciliations and financial schedules that support the financial statements</li> <li>Collaborating with outside auditors and advisors, interpreting GAAP,  and documenting accounting policies and internal controls</li> <li>Working closely with other team members, including our accounting-specific Technology team, to improve and automate processes</li> </ul> <p>At Jane Street, we always look for the best solutions to complex problems, and that extends to our accou
